I agree, not taking anything away form the otheres who applied for they job because they are all great guys.

I guess his Uncle Phillip who sit's on the School Board got him this position.

I wouldn't think so since he was not part of the interview process.

Very tragic. A terrible, politically motivated move to help the healing. The guy can't coach, and his offense can't move. PV is toast.

Thanks for the info, but im not sold on the hire.

Turner has never proven to be a head coach and his offense at PV this year was terrible. I hope it turns out well, but we cant give him 10 years of terrible-ness to learn how to coach.

If this is true then its and obvious politically motivated hire. His uncle may not have been part of the interview process but you can sure bet those who were all deserve a favor from a board member now.

Most said the same about him when he was coaching softball at Appy. They were wrong. Again, the same was said about him when he was named softball coach at P.V. They also were wrong. I didn't like his offense this year, hope that changes. Other than that, I think it is a good fit.
